Indianapolis-Chicago

Ira,
In fact, the only Indiana song I can think of is R. Dean Taylor's Indiana Wants Me. Sinatra had two songs entitled Chicago: 1. ('that toddlin' town) and 2. ("my kind of town")... DK - LK adds the traditional By The Banks Of The Wabash.

Based on song reference(s) Chicago wins easily:

1- Mary Jane's Last Dance-Tom Petty
She grew up in a Indiana town,

2- Burning-Nick Lowe
We stole a kiss in Indianapolis

3- Sweet Home Chicago-Robert Johnson, various

4- Chicago-Graham Nash

5- Peacefrog-The Doors
Blood on the streets in the town of Chicago

6. Route 66-various
Well it winds from Chicago to L.A.

7. Truckin'-Grateful Dead
Chicago, new york, detroit and its all on the same street.
